Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this coin flip truly random?

Yes, we use the Web Crypto API to generate cryptographically secure random numbers, ensuring each flip is truly random and unpredictable.

Why does the coin spin multiple times?

The multiple spins create a more engaging animation and realistic experience, similar to how a physical coin would flip multiple times before landing.

Can I use this for making important decisions?

While our simulator provides truly random results, we recommend using it for casual decisions rather than critical ones that might significantly impact your life.

Why do the statistics sometimes seem uneven?

Due to the random nature of coin flips, short-term results may appear uneven. However, over many flips, the distribution will approach 50/50, following the Law of Large Numbers.

Does it work offline?

Once loaded, the simulator works entirely in your browser. However, an internet connection is needed for the initial page load.

Why can't I flip the coin while it's already flipping?

This is by design to ensure accurate statistics tracking and to maintain the integrity of the animation sequence.

Will I lose my statistics if I refresh the page?

Yes, statistics are reset when you refresh the page. Use the reset button to manually clear statistics when desired.
